Post Title | Clinical Fellow in PET Imaging |
Role Purpose | This is a busy clinical post based in the Clinical PET Centres at both Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals providing day to day cover for the service. The post involves vetting, supervision and reporting of a range of PET-CT and PET-MR studies spanning oncological, neurological and cardiac applications as well as involvement in multidisciplinary meetings and research opportunities. This is intended as a post CCT fellowship. There are two clinical fellows employed at any one time. |

Post Title | Senior Operations Officer – Quality and Finance |
Role Purpose | The post holder will be responsible for monitoring income and expenditure, processing purchase orders and invoices, and ensuring that all PET-related activity is accounted and charged for correctly in a timely fashion. To do so, they will need to collate and maintain accurate activity and referral data for the PET clinical and research imaging services, and use these as the basis for invoicing. This will need to be done in line with the terms and KPIs specified by the NHSE PET contract, to support billing for other NHS and private provision, and in compliance with funder agreements for research studies. They will be responsible for ensuring all contracts and SLAs are up to date, and will monitor performance against them. They will provide comparable monitoring of contracts, SLAs and purchasing mechanisms for PET’s radiochemistry production facilities. They will also be responsible for providing regular reports of activity, performance against clinical and research quality targets and other KPIs, growth, income and expenditure to the PET Service Manager and School Director of Clinical & Research Imaging Operations, and to alert them of any developing risks. To fulfil their duties, the successful candidate will need to deal directly with both GSTT and other NHS hospital and university senior management and finance leads, as well as with a wide variety of clinical and technical teams, and will be required to access patient level details using Trust systems. They will deputise for the PET Service Manager in a variety of performance review meetings with GSTT. They will take on a line management role for other Grade 3-5 administrative staff within the PET Service, and will also liaise closely with School professional services staff who are under the direction of the School Manager. |

Post Title | PET Research Delivery Coordinator |
Role Purpose | We are now seeking an experienced research coordinator to manage the delivery of the PET Centre’s research portfolio, with a particular emphasis on Total Body PET studies proposed by the NPIP Central Hub, external researchers, and local clinical and research teams. This role requires an individual who is highly organised, and passionate about improving patient care through research. The post holder will be responsible to the PET Centre Service Manager, and will work closely with key clinical, academic and administrative staff to ensure excellent standards of research governance, and delivery of studies to time and target. They will provide expertise in the management of a portfolio of clinical and technical research studies, especially with regards to the legal framework surrounding research, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), Research Ethics and Health Research Authority (HRA) regulations, and in Administration of Radioactive Substances Advisory Committee (ARSAC) and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) requirements. They will provide support to a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals and academics, and will link with the School’s wider research delivery teams to ensure effective processes and procedures are implemented and followed. The post holder should be experienced in delivering research projects, including compliance with International Committee on Harmonisation of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) guidelines. They should be familiar with working with NHS Trusts and have good knowledge of the NHS Research Governance Framework for Health and Social Care. To succeed in this role, the post holder will need a proven background in clinical research delivery, and experience of working in a multidisciplinary clinical academic environment. Prior experience of working with imaging studies, and knowledge of ARSAC and IR(ME)R requirements would be an advantage. |
